Nori Specification Sheet

We supply dried sheet, roasted sheet and seasoned small chips. The sheet specification is 19cm x 21cm +/- 0.5cm and weigh 2.7-3.0g/sheet. The dried sheet is also called raw nori or hoshi nori. The roasted sheet is called yaki nori, and also known as sushi nori because it is generally used in sushi food. The seasoned chip is a savoury snack. The species of this seaweed we supply is scientifically named as Porphyra yezoensis.

The toasted nori should look greenish with luster and taste crisp. The sheet should keep the even thickness and bear no alien algae. Moisture should not exceed 5%. It is supposed to be stored in a cool and dry place.

Nori Production Process

Then it comes to primary processing:
1. primary selecting and rinse in sea water
2. re-selecting and rinse in fresh water

4. blender and pumper
5. pumping the raw nori pulp through to the filler
6. forming sheets and heating
7. semi-finished nori sheets
8. redrying in an oven
